Lead Generation
My objective is to get clients genuine quality meetings, appointments and introductions with the right person in the right target company that have both a need and a budget.
My style of Lead Generation is by relationship building so I like to engage in conversations that can be built on and nurtured into genuine Leads and future New Business Opportunities. Most people will only really want to chat or meet when they have a need coming up so it's important to keep in touch for when an opportunity may arise. Lead Generation involves:
- Executing & delivery of an agreed plan/brief by seeking out leads & potential opportunities via telemarketing & outbound calls, emails, social media, direct mail or networking events
- Develop & nurture relationships with potential clients, key stakeholders & influencers
- Arrange face to face meetings, online meetings or telephone appointments
- Data update & noting of all interactions via CRM, spreadsheets or other methods you prefer.
- Reporting
After many years trying out different approaches of reaching people, I still regard the telephone as the cornerstone of B2B Lead Generation. Unless you are able to meet someone face to face in real life or virtually, no other method replaces this human interaction along with the information that even a quick short phone conversation provides compared with other methods. But I believe you have to try and use whatever communication channel/s a potential prospect prefers, so I don't rule out any method as they can all work at some time!
